O Chiado
Chiado is a centre of cultural venues and bustling shopping streets. About
300 metres from your apartment you have the opera house, theatres, bookstores, museums, restaurants, Portuguese designer shops and the famous refuge of great Portuguese literary personalities such as Fernando Pessoa and Eça de Queiroz, cafe 'A Brasileira', also a popular meeting place for art students.

The Baixa Pombalina (a UNESCO world heritage site)
This original architectural style takes its name from the Marquês de Pombal who had this area rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. Rua Augusta (
500 metres from your apartment door) is in one of the busiest areas in
Lisbon. It is a pedestrian street full of shops, street vendors selling flowers or roast chestnuts and independent street artists, such as the ‘statue man’, concertina players and many more. There are two magnificent squares at either end of this street, one,
Rossio Square, and the other,
Comércio Square.

Bairro-Alto and Alfama
You can reach the two most traditional districts of
Lisbon within minutes! Visit Alfama for the architecture, sounds and atmosphere of ancient
Lisbon. Along these narrow, winding streets, and up and down Alfama’s steep stone steps you will find hidden treasures and get a feel for the true soul of
Lisbon.

Lisbon Nightlife – On foot
All within 5 minutes of your apartment you will find plenty of places for an evening stroll, and bars, cafés and discos are plentiful in places like Cais do Sodré, 24 de Julho, Alcântara, Santa Apolónia.
